say chow to how

Due to working the Fête St Jean I had yesterday off.

I began the day running 5km in 22:51, my best time this year. I ran the distance without slowing or stopping a single time. I was rather pleased about that.

I let Maria know it would be my last trip to Montreal Nuru Massage, and it was a good time to stop as they raised prices yet again. I brought and gave to her a gift, a pack of Basecamp Cards. I also asked if it would be okay to have us a selfie and she was okay, but I rushed it and it didn't come out the way I would have liked.

Subsequently I went to see the Spiderman Multiverse animated movie and I was surprised at how much I liked it. The movie had funny and emotional moments, the animation was great and very creative and the soundtrack was good too.

I then went to A&W and had a Beyond Burger.

Then I walked further east to catch the metro at Place-des-Arts, I saw many people simply standing around, but I paid them no attention and swiped my transit card only to get down to the platform and see more people standing around as there was a metro there at the station, empty, with its inner lights off. The whole line was down. I set my stopwatch on my watch to count and if after 10 minutes there was no movement, I would exit. At the 7 minute mark an announcement came on that it would be another 20 minutes before the metro would start, so I exited the station and walked the 3600m to get from where I was to where I caught the 211 bus to get home. Fortunately the bus was turned off and the driver was absent but the bus was present, so I had paid already at the metro where I didn't catch a metro and then boarded a bus without paying as I had already paid.

impetus pitepus

If it wasn't for the third time that a secondary first was rescinded to the zero count, the first second would have thirded a fourth, fifth and sixth.

If all of the movies that I went to see in cinema during the year 2022, 2021 and 2020 were counted and then averaged out to get an average number of movies I've seen in cinema per year during that three year span it would come to a number that is likely in the subset of numbers that are defined as being real numbers.

A tea cup saucer, a non-rewound cassette tape and 450g of will power walked into a bar.

How is will power measured?

I read this article that indicated that past studies of will power show that we have a set amount that decreases during the day and so the will power to avoid that chocolate bar at night is much lower than in the morning. The article went on to say that some people have developed an infinite will power mindset (what they referred to as a non-limited view of will power) and that those people with that mindset have figured out that the more will power you develop and use, the more will power you end up with.

Moving sideways to pass through a crowded room is likely one method to avoid stamping on the feet of a septuagenarian who is meandering on her way to locating the nearest tea shop. Presuming I ever become a septuagenarian I hope to be able to be the one moving sideways and not the one meandering.

I saw 14 and 1/3 movies per year during the span of years mentioned above.

One third represents me as a person among my siblings, or my my son as one of my children. 14 doesn't mean anything to me at the moment of composing this blog post.

A poly lariat lasso, a straight flush and a stout rinse walked into a bar. You can well expect that the tea cup saucer got together with the stout rinse. How the other four coalesced I will leave to your imagination.

Over the holiday season that just passed, as an infinitesimal part of a brief conversation with my youngest child who is presently 13yo I mentioned that if she read my blog she'd know more about me. She said my blog posts are too long. Later on that same day I was reminded of Deb (RIP) who once frequented my blog and had indicated that the longer the better in terms of my posts.

As I have somewhere between zero and two regular readers of this blog (apart from myself), I figure I can write as short, as long or as inane as I'd like.

During my weekly conversations with another volunteer at my church it was suggested that I look into visiting my brother who lives in Valencia. I have a work blackout of vacation days effective presently and until May 2 and so the plan is to go on Victoria Day weekend.

I'd take TS260, a direct flight from YUL to BCN that arrives in BCN at 13h on Friday May 19. Take the R2N from the airport to Barcelona Sants train station. Exit the train station and wander around Barcelona staying within the vicinity of the train station, then take the Euromed #1161 that leaves Barcelona Sants at 16h10 and arrives in Valencia at 18h57 where I expect my brother and/or his wife would collect me and I'd stay with them Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, have both weekend days to do tourist/local things. On Monday I have a few choices of train to take, but probably I'd take AVE #5071 that leaves Valencia at 7h50 and arrives in Madrid at 9h54. Then I'd have to take either C1 or C10 metro from the train station I arrive in to get to the airport for TS385, a direct flight from MAD back to YUL that departs MAD at 14h25.

Nothing is booked yet.

June, not Altair

Apparently there was a mild earthquake in my vicinity last night. My apartment complex is adjacent to train tracks and while my building isn't adjacent, when a heavy freight train passes it shakes my building ever so slightly, much like, I am sure, a mild earthquake would.

This evening I am going to see the Canadiens play, along with my three children who are presently aged 20, 17 and 13 years old.

On Sunday, sadly, the Als lost to the Argos who will meet the Bombers at the Grey Cup this coming Sunday in Regina.

I saw the Wakanda movie yesterday; it seemed mostly to be a tribute to Chad Boseman movie. December 16 is when the second, water based, Avatar movie comes out. I'll probably AVX that one.

filp brop kilt dlop

Two job interviews tomorrow morning.

Then a swim.

Then a movie.

Then Mr. Steer.

Then a movie.

I'll be seeing The Batman and Uncharted. For the former I haven't heard too much that is positive, for the latter I've hardly heard anything at all.

That about wraps up the rap

1. Today is my first day in a new role within my company.
2. Last night the KC Chiefs won the Superbowl, 31-20, against the SF 49ers.
3. I printed out the tickets (train and event) for my trip to Dordrecht next week
4. I put a note in my calendar exactly 30 hours before my flight departure, as that is when KLM says I can check-in, hopefully checking in early like this will give me a better selection of seats from which to choose. I'm aiming for a window seat as close to the front as possible.
5. I saw the movie 'The Rhythm Section' on Saturday. I'm going to see 1917 today. I may go to see 'Birds of Prey' later in the month of February.
6. I had a nap yesterday.
7. I've started the 5:2 fasting again; normally I do Mondays and Thursdays for fasting, so I last ate at 18:34 yesterday and I do not expect to eat any sooner than 18:35 this evening. I am drinking water, however.
8. Not everything that you've read above is true, well, unless it isn't.
