sitting

I've noticed, generally speaking, that women on average tend to sit at the edge of their seat while men tend to use most of the seat and the back of the seat. So, I have two questions for you:

1. Based on your gender, do you fall into the generality I describe above?
2. Based on your personal experience of seeing other people sitting under a variety of circumstances - in a workplace, at a restaurant, at home, at a sports event, on the bus or train... does what you witness about people and their seating habit follow the generality I describe above?

When I'm working at my computer, I tend to sit at the edge of my seat. If I'm relaxing, I tend to lay all over it. Then there are those with seats so bit, if just don't matter.

I never sit on the edge of my seat, less chance of falling off that way. At the moment hubby in his wisdom has stored all sorts of junk under my computer desk making it mighty hard to sit comfortably. For the last 1/2 hour I've been leaning right back in my chair with my feet on the desk. Works for me.

A most interesting study would be to examine who is most likely to lean a chair beyond it's balance point and fall over

If I'm watching a show I'm really into, I sit at the edge of my seat... if I'm at a hockey game or baseball game or any-game, I sit at the edge of my seat... if I'm at a concert, I'm moshing around or dancing... if I'm at the dinner table, I sit with my legs folded over each other (I know, poor etiquette)... If I'm at my computer, I either lean back (bad posture), or sit with my legs folded over each other... when I watch TV, I'm half-lying down or sitting with my legs folded over each other.

So I guess, in general, I sit at the edge of my seat. When relaxed, not so much. But I'll keep my eye out for other people.
