Is being fair similar to being even? When you even things out by giving two children one cookie each - the difference between them is 0. But rarely in life are things even. Rarely are things fair. So having things even is really quite odd.
My vote... zero is odd.. despite the fact that 2,4,6,8 are even and 1,3,5,7 are odd. There's more odd in the world than even!
