what is must have been like
If I could get 700 people to pay 150$ a year for a table tennis center membership, this would be enough to pay all of the expenses, including a salary to me that is somewhat comparable to what I am earning now, to open and operate such a center.
My value added benefits would be 24 hour access, regularly scheduled tournaments based on skill set or age groups, training sessions with certified coaches, locker rooms with showers and the small locker permanent storage, vending machines, and so on...
I live in a city with 1.6 million people in the city and 3.6 million including all of the subarbs. There is bound to be a place where I could build such a center and get that many memberships and have the revenue to cost ratio in my favour.
I wonder if I enjoy this game enough to make a viable business out of it... I know I really love to play it, and I really like getting other people to play it, but can I convince others to pay for playing it?
