packing
One by one all of my family's possessions are being put into boxes and those boxes are being put in the garage. This first photo is the view from the doorway that joins the garage to the house.
Here I've taken a few steps in and raised the camera to show how many rows of boxes there are and at what height and width.
If I move further into the room I can capture the back left corner of the garage, and here it is:
Now if I turn to the left we get to see the ancient chest freezer we inherited from my grandmother-in-law and to the left of it some more boxes. To the left of these boxes was my most recent work of cleaning up to make room for more boxes.
Finally, if I step to the entrance of the garage and look in, this is what we see.
The stack of collapsed boxes to the left is what will be used to complete the packing. We're trying to fit everything into the garage because we figure that it will take less time for the movers to load from there. We'll leave all of the major furniture in the rooms, taking downstairs from the second floor that which is relatively easy to do, so we're trying to do everything we can to cut down on the time, and hence the cost, of the move.
BTW, can you guess how many boxes there are (including the purple bins that are to the right of the freezer)?

ummm...a lot!!
It's a lot. It makes me think of how much stuff we all acquire. "UGH" The thought of packing up all my possessions makes me cringe.
Very organized!! I'm totally impressed.
