identity

There is a doorway through which I have to pass daily at work that the door has always been closed. Yesterday a door stop was put in the door to have it left permanently open. Since then every time I cross the threshold of that doorway I say out loud 'thank you' so that whom ever is responsible for holding the door open can be appropriately recognized.

Today when I did this and someone else was just ahead of me they gave me an odd look. It is not the first time in my life I have received such a look.

I give you an odd look every time I read your blog. :)

Maybe you could try saying thank you in a different language each time just in case a foreigner was the door opener person.
