rare sunny post

or, erm... rare Sunday post.

Ever since the last time I posted I have hardly done anything with respect to flossing my ankles. I have noticed recently that my posture while sitting at a computer is horrible. I need to improve my posture dramatically so as to not cause me back trouble . Tomorrow I go back to work, yet again the non-winner of the 649 lottery.

Phx discovered Blurb which is a home book preparation tool that allows you to submit your book to Blurb for printing. The really great thing about it is that it can interface with your blog such that you can turn your blog into a book. Well, I tried downloading the software to my PC at work and my work's firewall prevented me from linking up with my blog. I downloaded it here at home, but my ancient PC does not have a video card that displays 32bit colour and this is a requirement. So finally I downloaded the software at my in-laws place and got it to both run and connect to my blog, only it puts one blog entry per page. With many one-line blog entries it means a whole page would be printed with just one line of text. With the software I'm pretty sure I could push the blog entries together to waste less space, but that would take hours with the volume of posts I have. I am willing and anxious to do this, however, I can't do it at work because of both the firewall and the amount of time it would take, I can't do it at home because my PC can't run the software, and I can't really do it at my in-laws as I can't see myself spending so much time down there.

Oh well, maybe I'll be getting a new PC at home someday.

somehow i doubt that your home pc is as antiquated as mine. ive got a fifteen year old linux box with half the drives inoperable.

No, not quite so old... I believe it is a Celeron 600MHz processor with 4Mb of RAM and 6Gb of disk space. My 2Gb SD Card in my digital camera is fully one third of my entire PC disk space.

Fortunately it still meets most of our needs at home, which is why we haven't upgraded yet.

Our computer is a yellow box. A loud yellow box.

I had trouble with blurb too, the main one being that i'm still using the old blogger... and I think having multiple blogs under one username is going to give me even more headaches. Ugh.
