run update
So I noticed that the treadmill in the hotel has a 5KM run 'around the lake program', so I decided to do it. The thing of it, though, that disappointed me was that the warm up and cool down was part of the 5KM; I would have preferred the program to be made up of two minutes of warm up walking where the pace increases to the speed you set up for the run, followed by the 5KM run, followed by the two minute cool down where the pace is gradually slowed down to a walk. Anyhow, I ended up running 3.01 miles in 26:57, I purposefully set the speed slower than I had attempted the previous time so that I would be better prepared to slaughter the mental weakness that had me suffer the last time. I ended up averaging about 5:30 per km, slowing down from previous runs but at least I managed to do the whole distance this time.
I'll try again on Thursday to see if I can get back into a better pace.
