Making bread out of lint

Every once in a while, just for a very brief moment, I get this overwhelming sense of dread mixed with grief. Usually it happens when I am in a place with lots of people and it occurs to me that because of the combination of a bunch of potentially disastrous events, most if not all of these people will have their lives changed dramatically for the worse in a myriad variety of ways that even I am unable to fathom. Then the feeling passes, and yet I am left with a foreboding feeling that it seems like only I am aware of an impending doom while all of those around me have not an iota of the coming storm.

As for that feeling of dread. I got it more after seeing The Day After Tomorrow. Now it's environmental documentaries that do it to me.

I know what you mean. Sometimes the thought of who could possibly be the next US president gives me that feeling of dread & imminent doom.
