Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to anyone who was born on this date.

My birthday, as you well know, is not today.

Coincidentally, today is not the birthday of anyone I know.

So I Google 'who has a birthday today?' and the topmost link was famousbirthdays.com.

It listed Gwen Stefani and Stevie Ray Vaughan among others.

But what if I wanted to get a list of people who have today as a birthday who are not famous? Spending a brief few moments to search I could not find a website that simply listed people's birthdays.

Hi Phil, sorry I haven't been around. The computer is on the blink again. The last question you asked is "What are intervals?".
As they can have an impact on your training I'll answer this as quickly as possible with the short time I have on this computer.

It's any kind of exercise that increases intensity in short intervals rather than just doing the same pace for an extended period. eg. 1 minute running flat out 3 mins slow jog and just keep doing that for 30 mins if you can.
My favourite on the treadmill is to start with a walk or slow jog for 1 minute then one minute fast jog, increase the incline do 1 min fast 1 minute slow, raise the incline again, just keep doing this until you either fall off the back of the treadmill or pass out. So much fun.

So that's it. Intervals can get you fitter and stronger much quicker and adds an extra dimension to your training. You only need to do it once or twice a week to see results.
