here I sit staring at a blank screen not knowing what to type.

This occasionally happens to me when I do not know what I want to post.

Some would argue that if I have nothing to say, why bother posting at all?

My argument is that you improve your vocabulary, your creativity, your brain power by writing at least a little bit every single day. The work emails that I have to write have very little to do with vocabulary or creativity so I come here to exercise those capacities.
