If I was a benevolent dictator

It came up in conversation yesterday, about the Copenhagen talks happening presently; someone asked if I was in a political leadership position would I make the decisions that are needed to address climate change. I answered that as a political I would have to answer to the pressures of being re-elected, lobbyists and party policy. Too many restrictions. Now give me a dictator position and now you're talking!

This led me to thinking about starting a blog about being the dictator of Canada. I don't think I could write about how I got to becoming dictator as I'm not sure how that would be possible, however, I could start with what would I do on day one of becoming dictator, and then the next entry would be what would I do on day two, and so on.

The question I have to answer is how seriously would I take this. I can dream up policy and decisions without doing an ounce of research and make it sound very appealing (well, at least from my perspective). Or, I can do loads of research but make the decisions I will make very fact based. The former would be fun and wouldn't take hardly any time. The latter could either be ignored by most people, or eventually have a following as it would be plausibly arguable.

Of course, I could decide to not write that blog at all.

First of all, you'd need a button that says Tyrant.

I don't think you'd make a good dictator. Dictators are horrible people.
