band practice for the cosmically

Why provide a noun when an adverb will do just as nicely?

This weekend promises to be made up of both a Saturday and a Sunday. I've been trying to squeeze a day in between the two but so far have not had much success.

My weekend plans include going to this and that place, taking care of this chore and that one and also going to sleep at night and eating food when required. I imagine a weekend described thusly is not dissimilar from your own. Unless it isn't.

At the moment I am between books. The last one I read was titled 'As The Crow Flies' by Anne-Marie MacDonald. It took a long time to get into it but once I hit around page 350 it became very compelling. I think I have the time to read another book before I have to start the one for the next book group.

I finished reading V for Vendetta. That could be a good read between book club books, since it goes by very quickly.

However, the book I'm now reading - Postwar by Tony Judt - could possibly not be a good selection. It is 831 pages of dense historical text. Maybe you could do it, though. I'm not a very fast reader.

When I don't want to read a long book I look for a collection of short stories.
