gait gate late

Some people have very distinguishing gaits. I occasionally attempt to alter my gait to render it only slightly different from the norm, but different enough that were someone to attempt to identify me by my gait, they would not be able to. I can only maintain this altered gait while consciously attempting to, mere moments later I fall back on my natural gait.

gait   [geyt] –noun
1. a manner of walking, stepping, or running.
2. any of the manners in which a horse moves, as a walk, trot, canter, gallop, or rack.

When I was in army basic training, I could always tell which sergeant was doing bed-check by how he sounded walking down the hall.

my gate depends on the day of the week and how much damage i did myself in my weekly soccer games.
