actually

When I provided the generalization yesterday, I was referring to one that is generally held, but not by me.

I am not convinced that all people are real. People I know and have had occasion to see become real people. All of the people that I don't know, I don't know if they are real. Some people are more real than others.

My blogmates who occasion this blog regularly I am fairly convinced are real, but with no evidence other than their blogging, it is a different kind of real as compared to the reality of my wife and children.

Walking through a crowd of thousands, I find that the people I just glance over or who I do not see, these I define as not-real people. If there is any one stranger that I zone in on, if even for a moment, that person becomes real. Well, at least for that moment.
