Day Number 13879
so, i'm 38 today.
over halfway to 73. i will live, on average, a little longer again as long as i have lived so far. but let's be honest, up until now has been as long as it has been.
am i getting older?
i'm closer to 40 than i am to 30. and 40 is an even number. i've never really cared about aging. i mean you only have two choices in the matter. either you do or you're dead. but 40 is a little like strawberries. maybe it wouldn't be if it weren't a...a...wait a minute...if it wasn't a number.
i used to know the word for that, for what 40 is relative to strawberries. looks like the boat is full. i never used to remember words or names or faces.
maybe i am getting old.(er).

err...wait....didn't I read a post like this not so long ago?
Happy Birthday Phil. You're still a spring chicken.....and hot.
Hang on....didn't I say that not so long ago?
Here's what I think. The very second after you turn 50 you are closer to 100 than you are to birth. eeeeekkkkkk!!!!!!
It was fun reusing his post.
Thanks!
Happy birthday.
Are you sure you are going to live? I mean, sure - barring accident your expected lifespan is predictable, but to assert how long one "will" live is a bit presumptuous.
You are getting older. Here is a song for you, then.

I had a dream about you last night. You were trying to tell me about your fingers but I wasn't taking any notice of you so you gave up and went away. Then it occurred to me that what you were trying to tell me was vitally important and I needed to help you, only I couldn't because I didn't know how to find you.
Odd.
Anyway, take care of your phalanges, OK.
