beer and beep

At the same company I interviewed with on Thursday, this morning I met with a technical analyst who would evaluate my own technical expertise to ensure that I meet the criteria for the position. After the interview he said that I am very well qualified and that he would recommend I be hired. Apparently there are one or two other people being interviewed for this position, so it isn't a done deal. Everything is looking good, however, it looks like a great place to work in terms of benefits and amenities, the only thing is that it is looking like I'll have to take a pay cut if I was to accept the job there being offered.

In other news, we have signed up with a new ISP; it is cable-based rather than DSL based as I believe the problem with my sporadicly intermittent internet connection at home has to do with the DSL signal. The installer will come on the 29th of August to install the new connection, I really hope this one is more stable.
