night raking
Our weekends are too busy. I had to resort to raking leaves at night. Eight more bags added to the total this fall.
I could use some sleep. Do you have any to spare?

Do you have to rake every day/night. What would happen if you didn't rake for a week or two? Do you allow your children to roll around in the leaf piles...that always looks like fun.
Mulching lawn mower.
i gave up my sleep years ago.
Deb, no, not every day or night. I just have to get all of the leaves up before the snow falls as otherwise the leaves will decay where they rest and that will kill the grass in the spring. Yes, the kids have fun in te leaves, except when they are wet from the rain.
Zhoen: a mulching lawnmower is fine for small amounts of leaves, but for the volume I have it is no good - the broken up leaves would remain as a thick layer on top of the grass.
ghost: if I recall correctly you have had a smattering of insomnia now and then, so I'm not certain that your having given up sleep was fully by choice. Of course, it isn't really by choice for me either.
