breaking windows with my teeth

Throughout my life I have been telling people that I have been working on a 'Time Insertion Machine'. The idea of it is that you attach the machine to you and one or more other people, press the green button, and time stops for all other people in the universe but does not for you and the one or more other people attached. You can now disconnect and go about the business of making advances on other things, having a nap, getting time to relax and so on. Then, when ready, re-attach to the machine and push the red button, and now everyone else in the universe picks up where they left off. Obviously, you age during these interludes while everyone else does not, so it needs to be used judiciously.

Most of the time I would tell people that I am almost finished the machine, I just need to iron out the details of the part that freezes time.

It seems these days, more than ever, could I use such a machine.

Time breaks down when you keep jumping in and out. It is an interesting concept. If you ever get the chance read Stephen King's 11.22.63. It's a big book so you may need your time insertion machine to read it.

If you enjoyed the Ben Elton book I gave you to read you might also enjoy another of his books called Gridlock. Its another ecological disaster book.

Deb, we read 11/22/63 in our book group last month or the month before. It was a very good read, I enjoyed it immensely. That time is obdurate is what came out the most.

I'll check Gridlock out, thanks.

Zhoen - TMBG and another good one, thanks for the link.
