making amends in bends which lends
So, about cheques, also known as checks.
The daycare at my kids' schools takes one per month for each month of school which allow the parents of my children the opportunity to keep a job. Two kids, two schools, nine cheques each, we're up to 18.
Home & School association. In our school we have this association that runs various activities throughout the year, including subway and pizza lunches twice a month and other events. Probably about six cheques for each child per year, we're now up to 30.
Daycare ped days - often the ped days will have the daycare open with a special activity for that day that costs extra, paid by cheque. My kids do not go to all of them, but do go to some, so figure combined this is six additional cheques, we're now up to 36.
Field trips - there are only two or three field trips per school year for each kid, so let's add another six, we're now up to 42.
I think that about sums it up, though there are some extra-curricular activities that the kids do that also get paid by cheque. This is only an additional two or three, so we'll round up to 45.
We just ran out, (surprised?) and had to order more. The new ones cost about 48$ per 100, or, about 50 cents a piece. So it is costing us 22$ for all of the cheques that are due to our kids doing stuff.
Have they not ever heard of Paypal?

It does seem like they should take paypal, or a credit card, for some of it at very least. It does cost them to cash those, and the numbers have to add up for them as well.
I called the daycares and asked if I could double up payments to halve the cheques and they said that was fine.
I haven't had a cheque book for at least 10 years.
