Late night with dave email-man
So there I was, as I have been lately, working into the evening/night to make up for the fact that I have to leave work early to retrieve the kids from school and take them to their activities.
I enter an email conversation with a coworker when I maintain that I haven't the mental acuity to perform a specific task for which there would be a risk that something could go wrong. He questioned that I had the mental acuity to use the word acuity, but not the acuity to do the task.
Needless to say, such word fodder is a part of my vernacular.
I think clearest in the morning hours and leave for evening the tasks that require less concentration, and generally have significantly less risk. This is also the reason why I tend to fold laundry at night - not a whole lot of concentration or risk involved there.

Driving your children seems like it requires concentration and involves risk.
My vocabulary is often in inverse proportion to my ability to function.
I lay out my clothes and necessary items (keys, watch, glasses) the night before, because during that first hour after I wake, my brain goes very slowly.
Because I take the train, the area within which I actually drive is very small and not particularly traffic prone.
My vocabulary is not at all proportional.
I tend to get the next day's items prepared in advance most of the time; of course it is on the days I do not do this that I get out of bed the latest.

must never have done laundry in my hood. dangerous isnt exactly the word.
