Kitchen before renovation

So, here are some pictures of the kitchen as it is now. Please forgive the untidyness of it; I did not bother to do a clean up prior to taking the pictures.

This is facing North in the kitchen, with the patio door on the far left.

Turning clockwise in the room, the door on the left goes down three steps to an exterior door, and if you turn left at that door, you'll go down further into the basement. The doorway on the right leads to the dining room.

Turning clockwise again, we can see better into the dining room, and now you see the cupboard to the left of the fridge, and the fridge. You can also make out an entryway beyond the fridge - that's a hallway that leads to the front door of the house.

Turning a little bit more clockwise we can now see the stove.

Turning a little bit more clockwise we can now see the sink and the window in front of the sink.

Looking up, we can see the ceiling light fixture.

Turning clockwise again, we can now see the peninsula that is a key entertaining area of our kitchen.

And then finally turning clockwise one more time, we can see out the patio door, and can see that there are drawers on the cabinet to the left of the patio door.

If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you.

It's best not to tidy up, when doing a Before photo.

Lovely china cabinet.

Get lots of drawers. They are so much better than trying to store stuff on shelves, unless of course, they are overhead shelves, in which case drawers would be useless. But you knew that already.
Have you started arguing over the colour scheme yet?

Our new kitchen will also have a peninsula.

We have counted the number of drawers we currently have and will be increasing them by at least a factor of 1.5.

We will not be arguing about the colour scheme - my wife picks.

Very sensible of you Phil.
