Serendipity wears a raincoat
The terrible news is that pencil cases are going to go on strike if their union leaders do not negociate new terms that are agreeable to the membership.
If I was a pencil I'd be very nervous. If the pencil cases do go on strike, the pencils will have a less orderly existence.
Fortunately management is likely to come to their senses to avoid labour action. Little kids who make use of pencil cases tend to look glossy-eyed during the talks. Given this we are anticipating a speedy resolution.
The unions of twist-ties, pencil sharpeners, protractors and rulers are next in line to negociate new terms, each having had their latest contract expire within the last seventeen months. With stellar timing a teenaged representative was elected on behalf of the little kids and so these school supplies unions may be in trouble. On the other hand, there was a glove. Or rather, a glove was elected to represent all of the remaining school supply unions.

Negotiation can become very tricky when one party holds the upper glove. *note the spelling. That's the first time I've seen a C in the word negotiate/negociate.
z: I can count on you to provide TMBG links whenever such would be appropriate.
d:upper glove indeed. As for negociate, I'll take the least common acceptable spelling at every opportunity.
Yes you can.
