So on this day we first went to the Loevre, then some went on to the Orangerie while two of us went to the Army Museum. Following that we regrouped for a wine tasting and then visited the Eiffel Tower.

My good friend, the only other male on this trip, was keen on exploring the history of the usage of the buildings and space at the Loevre, and fortunately, there was a tour available. Here is a photo of a stair case that was original to the first building put here, in the year 1200 or so.

Further on in the tour we found this stair case that was a royal stair case and different in many ways from most others of the period that were spiral - this one was straight with a landing. Only the ceiling remains from 800 years ago, but you can see it is rather embellished. There were nine stations in total to describe how the Loevre passed from royalty to artists and architects to finally becoming a museum.

The lighting was dim, so hopefully this turns out - this is Napoleon's the first tomb.

Got a bird in this one on the day we visited the Eiffel tower.

With a friend on this trip we decided to climb the steps; we got to 250 steps before we realized there were step markers and we realized how easy this was; here is step 300.

Here is step 669, the highest step count to the second level of the tower. The elevator to the top level was closed the day we visited.
