banal without the b
I had a dream last night that woke me up and I remembered it quite vividly at the time. I no longer remember it, but it was nice to know that I could still have dreams. It had been a long time since last I had one like that.
I gave blood last week and usually, after giving blood, before I am released, I am accosted by a volunteer from Hema-Quebec who asks if I can give platelets instead of a whole blood donation. I have A+ blood and apparently as this is one of the most common bloods, it is in most demand for platelets for people who need wholesale replacements during chemo treatments. The person who spoke most recently to me about this was the most persuasive, so it is looking like when I become eligible to donate again in April, I will be giving platelets. There are two additional requirements as compared to giving whole blood - I need to have a good platelet count and I need to have sufficiently good veins. Hopefully it works out.
There is another story I would add to this post based on immediately unfolding events, but making a guillotine out of chocolate pudding is a more familiar launch pad.

Mmmm, chocolate...
I am A negative. I doubt anyone would be wanting my blood. It's a good thing you do Phil. Bravo.
