Reacting adversely to news that is extremely positive is not a likely happening. However, some of us are not particularly in tune with our own selves to be able to know what the correct reaction should be. This self awareness develops over time, for some people, more quickly than with others. There are some of us who seek to display the opposite expected reaction to obfuscate those who surround us. The remaining of us carry on, each day passing into a mire.

Succinct, yes, but not always very empathetic.
I've found it immensely useful, over the years.
The 'Please' corollary is also particularly timeless.
