Cryogenically disabled

I just wonder if it would be better for the Mars One team to get someone else to research cryogenics before they launch their first manned pod to Mars. I go back and check out their site every once in a while to see if there is any progress. In theory, what they have planned, is fairly impressive, but in practice, I'm not certain how successful they will be given how I believe civilization is headed for a 'correction'.

This is part of why I can't work up any interest in manned space trips. It's like watching a polar expedition at the turn of the last century ready to set off with just some pemmican in the stores, knowing they don't understand scurvy.
