send up the clowns

Before this C19 lockdown I was spending about 175$ a month on groceries to feed me the whole month, and my kids, every other week.

Since the C19 lockdown, yes, I know, it has only been 1.8 months, the average has come closer to 275$.

Today is the last day of April; so tomorrow starts a new month. I am going to make a concerted effort to see if I can come as close to 200$ for the month as possible.

It is not starting very well - my fridge, freezer and cupboard are not particularly well stocked at the moment.

I suppose part of the increase is simply that food has become more expensive; I have certainly noticed that the weekly advertisement for my local grocer has reduced from 25-28 pages of product sales down to 9-14 pages.
