BLM
On the same day I went on a night walk (see previous post), I attended a portion of the Protest March against racial discrimination and police brutality being held in my city.
I took the 9h22 211 bus into the city and from there walked to Place Émilie-Gamelin where the protest was to start. By the time I arrived there, already many thousands of people had arrived and there were speeches that were being given. These first three photos are just from where I was standing, looking in different directions.
I got there at around 11h05, and we actually started marching at 11h22.
I recorded a number of videos from the event, here is a playlist of five of them:
From the night walk I had done earlier this same day, my left knee was still aching, so at what I expect might have been the half way mark, I exited the protest and headed home. Apparently wherever the ended up there were some more speeches made.
Once the media reports on what the actual turnout was for this event, I'll update this post.
