a peacock, a dandelion and an oak tree

All of the celebrationists went to the lawn bowling vicinity to see if they could count the number of sewage hole grates as a collective unit.

A nickel plated box of facial tissues was sent to the bottom of the man-made front yard suburban pond. The fish were insignificantly disturbed.

Single sided leaflets distributed by a benign gardener to passers by dressed in early Victorian garb went unnoticed by the children nearby who were kicking amongst themselves a disintegrating box of lollipops. Those leaflets, were they to have been read by anyone, would have been read. Mostly, the leaflets were taken then recycled.

The slightly damaged enamel sets of toe grinders was on sale. The responsible department reduced the price down to half what it was. Curiously, the only people who took advantage of this discount were those who are able to recognize a pattern post. I was one of them.
