Listing only the countries (National Olympic Committees) that earned 10 medals or more at the Paris 2024 Olympics, and then sorting them by Medals/1,000,000 population we can see below the resulting table.

Of note, Canada does a more effective job than the United States does while Australia and New Zealand do a much better job than Canada. Though, the latter two countries probably do not do nearly as well during Winter Olympics.

Surprising are Hungary, Netherlands and Sweden with their lower populations (compared to the others) that they managed to earn so many medals.
