I decided to walk home from work yesterday. It took about two hours to get to where I stopped to eat, and then about two and a quarter hours to get home from there. Below are some intersection signs to show my progress.

First I walked from work up to the corner of Sherbrooke and Peel; and then walked the whole length of Sherbrooke to the end. Note that clicking on any image will give a larger version of it.

This mural is either just off of Decarie or very close to it; I can't quite remember.

It is hard to tell, but dead center in this photo is the tower that supports the new bridge on Rue St-Jacques as it crosses over Decarie Expressway.

Here is the Expressway heading north.

It's a bit tough to see in this one, but this is the end of Sherbrooke street, where it crosses with Westminster.

Walk south on Westminster to Broughton, take Broughton to the end where Google Maps shows it as 'Devils Hill'; shown below (though it doesn't show well in the photo) is the steep street that I walked down.

This Lafleur's resto is visible from the highway and countless times, either in my own car, or on a bus, I've passed this place though I can't recall if I've ever stopped to eat there until this day.

From the resto I walked a short distance along the highway until 1st Avenue in Lachine, where there is a bridge over the highway.

Between around 2nd avenue and 20th avenue my left knee started to, in small spurts, feel tender. Fortunately, this passed.

Between LePage and Pine Beach I kept looking behind me to see if a 203 bus was coming; this would have taken me home instead of walking the last three kms. At one point I was about 200m from a bus stop for the 203 when it zoomed past; I hadn't looked back soon enough to see it in the distance to allow me to sprint to the stop; so I didn't end up taking the bus.

The question now becomes, would I do this again? Also, I have made plans to take the train out to the farthest Exo train station and walk home from there; would I still want to do that after having had this experience? I think it is early to tell, and I may do the first Exo walk (the shortest one) to see how that goes.
