vacationing in an Arizona made of

I went for an Ashgrove - Donegani - Elm - St-Charles - Lakeshore - Beaconsfield - Lakeshore - Lakeside - tunnel - Donegani - Ashgrove walk yesterday evening after it had rained for much of the day.

It was nice to walk along Lac St Louis so I could see the calm water, a few ducks and other wildlife. Visibility also opened up so I could see the far shore.

I kept a pretty brisk pace so as to keep my heart working a little harder. It was only around 5c at the time as otherwise, if it had been warmer, I might have gone for a run. After today it is supposed to warm up again.

During my walk I passed various people, mostly walking in an opposite direction to me. I would say hello, and almost always they would say hello back to me. Twice I passed a person who was walking in the same direction but slower than I was. We would also exchange hellos.

two jumps and the hoop falls up

A slender but mystified ear worm song that under normal circumstances would be near impossible to replace was quick to devote itself towards ringing true, albeit, blue.

When the prize is awarded and the nincompoop who won it strides valiantly to the podium, the second and third place chagrined quietly in their only partially comfortable chairs at the banquet. Sometimes we question the effort.

Star gazing during a four sevenths clouded night is just as hit and miss as attempting to fly a kite when only the gusts can raise it. The onboarding interlocutionarily dry vixen was a pleasure to look at but a bore to listen to. Which is better, the looks or the hears?

An ear worm song, a winning nincompoop, flying a kite at night that is partly clouded where only gusts can raise it and that monotonic vixen all have in common but a handful of things. Clearly they have in common being a part of this post. Secondly, they all have within them a subatomic structure that has equal components among all matter. Lastly, vocabulary was stretched to come up with their presentation in this post.

next to nothing is something

Using a pirouette as a lamp shade is not an intangible likeness to a tetrahedral gardening implement, but much closer to the idea of elongating a week by a day in such a way as no one notices.

Sardines being used as envelope sealing paste is perhaps not the most popular olfactory solution that the low paid postal workers would be pleased with as compared to the insufficient lighting in the south west corner of the warehouse. Dandelion paste would be much more amenable.

The participation of ten and eleven year old people in promoting the vaguest of concepts came as no surprise to the sobriety testers. Those testers, familiar with their own diffuse ideas had previously had their own promotion. The low paid postal workers were confused by the promotion and didn't smell the fish smell.

If none of this post rings true, just remember that next to nothing is something. Also, next to anything could either be something or nothing. Also, adjacent to everything, something must be. Finally, this is a pattern post.

when kick comes to push

That the L2 Lagrange point reminded no one of their least favourite of all kinetic energy studies is a testament to the ideologically disinclined Thursday evening pub mates whose conversation almost always devolves into what is better, 10 pin bowling or the number 17.

Setting a world record in number of times you can sharpen a standard pencil before singing the third most popular song of the last week of August 2014 is one of the placemats that when shuffled among the other ones, usually ends up near but not at the top. If you were wondering, Sam Smith sang 'Stay With Me' in that third most popular song of that week according to Billboard's top 100.

Basement dwellers who only surface into the outdoors after the sun has set are likely deficient in a number of ways. In one way, they benefit with respect to not getting sun burnt. Living at 45 degrees north or further north would make it so that the basement dwellers who surface only after sunset have significantly fewer hours in the summer compared to the winter.

new experience

Out of the ordinary events tend to happen every so often to people who either seek them out, or, happenstance evades the idea of being ignored.

If I was to count on two fingers the ideas that permeate when I awaken from a well rested and nominal duration sleep period, I'd get at least two ideas. If I had more fingers, I am fairly certain I'd be able to relate more ideas.

I received an email from Alorica that I start on September 20; so now I won't be working for Elections Canada on that day. I will need to inform them and will pass by the plaza where they have an office today or tomorrow. It is too bad, I was looking forward to the experience of it.

One out of the ordinary event I will be seeking out today is a nuru massage. It will be the first, and potentially not the last time I do this. Following that I will eat out somewhere, and then I will attend the Shang-Chi movie for which I have already obtained the ticket for the 13h showing. This is a day 100% for me.

blasting off from nowhere to nowhere else

A donut hole didn't know what year it was when she counted to eleven.

Denying yourself all of the dreams that make up a forest would make just about anyone feel welcome. Not knowing how many times to dance to the tune that has an arythmic beat is probably something that can be done either before, during or after sunset.

If the decision that has been made doesn't help us at all, perhaps it is time to roll the dice. If the dice comes up with a prime number, all the better. If the dice only has colours, well, hopefully the colours are easily discernable from each other.

The richness of the text that was pasted on the upstream side of a derelict social media site was not mentioned even in the smote of an idea to the people who were washing their hatchback car. The derelict social media site in question still managed to have a page concerning The A-Team. The hatchback cars that were implied did not include any Ladas. The smote was just an iota.

making light of lite

A couple of days ago I encountered two instances of SLI on the walk home from wherever I had been.

I am very much enjoying playing table-tennis three times weekly. I get joy from playing and get exercise at the same time.

I have wanted to stop buying granola bars that are each individually packaged and so I found this recipe. I've made it twice now and am quite pleased with it. It won't work for the kids school lunches as it isn't nut-free, however, it means now that while at home we won't eat the individually nut-free packaged ones.

I've been making use of my local library in a more significant way in the last month. I've got a mix of fiction and non-fiction books on my 'To Read' list on the library's website. Last week, among others, I read two Hank Green books (An Absolutely Remarkable Thing and A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor) and this week I will have read two John Scalzi books (Lock In and Head On). The next one I'll read is 'I overcame my autism: and all I got was this lousy anxiety disorder - a memoir' by Sarah Kurchak.

One, Two, Three, Pie

The daylight hours are getting shorter as the night hours are getting longer.

We were blessed here with a long stretch of unseasonably warm weather that stretched for five or eight days, ending yesterday. Today, back to more seasonal temperatures.

Trump still hasn't acquiesced. I suppose it is only a matter of time as on January 20, inauguration date, Joe Biden will be inaugurated. The big question is what will Trump do during his remaining days.

I get to go and play i/g this evening. I've been really enjoying getting back into it. I ordered and received today a new bat (AKA paddle); the sides are significantly more sticky than my old one. This ought to improve my spins.

a peacock, a dandelion and an oak tree

All of the celebrationists went to the lawn bowling vicinity to see if they could count the number of sewage hole grates as a collective unit.

A nickel plated box of facial tissues was sent to the bottom of the man-made front yard suburban pond. The fish were insignificantly disturbed.

Single sided leaflets distributed by a benign gardener to passers by dressed in early Victorian garb went unnoticed by the children nearby who were kicking amongst themselves a disintegrating box of lollipops. Those leaflets, were they to have been read by anyone, would have been read. Mostly, the leaflets were taken then recycled.

The slightly damaged enamel sets of toe grinders was on sale. The responsible department reduced the price down to half what it was. Curiously, the only people who took advantage of this discount were those who are able to recognize a pattern post. I was one of them.

when everyone else has left and you're the only one

When all of the people who do not know how to fall asleep in four minutes or less are lined up against a wall and told to count to eleven, the third one from the left accidentally counted to twelve as she got into the groove of counting and forgot when to stop.

This weekend is exactly the weekend where we turn our clocks back one hour to initiate the arrival of Daylight Savings Time. This is a practice that has no noticeable circadian or physiological effect on me, but still, I see the practice as mostly useless.

SpaceX this week managed to launch, dock, undock and splash land a space craft intended for passengers that was carrying a small Earth pattern plush ball in addition to a mannequin in a SpaceX space suit named Ripley. Between now and July they will do another test with no people to test the safety mechanism that could safely land the ship should something go wrong during orbit. Then, in July, two volunteer test pilot/Astronaughts will be going up to the International Space Station in it.

This fourth paragraph ought to have four sentences in it. The reason for this is that this is a pattern post where there is a pattern to the number of sentences in each paragraph. If you have read my blog for any amount of time you are likely to have encountered a pattern post in the past. If you haven't, you didn't.

symbols and cymbals

The macro version of the left most, the right most and all of the least of the most of the highest of the lowest of the most ranked and lowest level was not even enough to know which one to choose.

That all of the choices we make, even the most mundane of them, can lead to all but one of the paths totally ignored isn't something that people usually give a thought to. Do those alternate paths even exist?

Existential or not, those paths ignored could have led to either a slightly dissimilar outcome, or, a diametrically opposite circumstance. Outcomes and circumstances together make up a rich description of the most immediate, of the closest to now that exists. But once it's gone, it's gone.

When everything else is gone, done with, even forgotten, this opens up anew the new. Now the macro version is no less confused, the decisions we make are no less mundane, the inexistentialism of the paths we don't choose are still ignored and those dissimilar outcomes didn't happen. It is much like taking two steps forward, and ignoring the rest. Better to yield.

bat an eye and a baseball

Getting mixed up when attempting to drive in a directionally challenged Q-Bert motoring station while playing chess partially blindfolded and standing on an octagonal urn filled with peacock feathers is the least likely of events that a depressed sturgeon would relate as a story told to the aquatic museums of the left armpit of a flea bitten hippo wishing she had just won the lottery.

That an eloquent newspaper stand would relate anecdotal evidence of the delayed invasion of internetworked amicable news agents would surprise only the insipid is hardly noteworthy, well, unless one likes to take notes. No others would volunteer any of the excerpts that they too would have vilified.

Spreading strawberry jam on a lemming that is seeking to evade this process is not an easy task. Mind you, not all lemmings know what time of day is the best for meandering as a street cleaner does on a weekday morning. Too bad the jam was jammed.

It can be said that all pattern posts have a pattern. This one doesn't fall into the same prey, nor the same doughnut hole. If all of the pattern posts were to be added together into a pot and mixed with water, onion soup mix, a 1983 nickel and the bottom piece of a 5x7 photo frame, a mixture would be produced. I should know.

the vissitudes of unkemptness

A scintillating spasmodic bitcoin detergent was used to wash the baby's Tuesday-marked handkerchief.

All crimson vixens pledged anonymously to reduce their promotion of brand name lymph node medications. The generic ones weren't lint deprived.

A left-handed stage hand handed the mangled hand prop to the man named Gled. Gled used the mangled hand prop as a piquing device while narrating the tale about tails. The audience became less perturbed.

Arguably, there can be a debate about anything. It is debatable that anything could be argued. If anything is arguable, I'm certain it could also be debated. Debate anything arguable.

when going deeper into muck you find

Tomorrow I am eligible to give blood again as 56 days will have passed since my last donation.

I will not be giving blood tomorrow as I have to leave work early to then retrieve C-Ling so that the two of us can then go to our bi-annual dental cleaning and checkup. The appointment is at 14h50 so I'll have to leave work early, retrieve her from school and head straight to the dentist.

The Canadiens are playing again tonight against the Rangers in game four of the first round. The Canadiens, favoured in this series, is ahead, two games to one. I have not been able to watch any of the games so far, and tonight's game will be no exception.

The federal minister of finance, the premier of Ontario and the mayor of Toronto met today to discuss what can be done about the exorbitant rate increases concerning the price of real estate. The media last week indicated property values went up 33% in the hottest Toronto markets as compared to last year. I do not know what can really be done about this that would also not have unforeseen side effects that would haunt a subsequent generation. Fortunately, I do not live there.

tips that top the tap

There isn't anything melancholy about slirping up a goat cheese made of the hole found in the toe of a sock of a teenaged boy who doesn't cut his toenails often enough.

A dirigible once flew out of my nose when I sneezed. The passengers were furious with the pilot.

I counted exactly zero herons today. I counted an equal number of albatrosses. I did, however, encounter a non-zero value of red-headed commuters.

It wasn't published prophetically, that a gargantuan rolling of the dice would lead to aces. I'd dream heavily of the loto prize of 1000$ a day for life. How long my life remains would be the big question. I suppose to win, I'd need to play.

Lucy and her lucidity

The instruction manual that came with my ice cube tray was lacking in the indication of what temperature the water should be before I put the water into the tray prior to putting the tray into the freezer.

A fledgling and narrow window sill mocked the door frame adjacent to it. This derision shut the door on kindness and generosity.

Traveling on the Underground Railroad wasn't much like taking a subway ride through a city in modern times. I have never traveled on the Underground Railroad, but I have taken the metro in my city numerous times. The 'metro' is my city's name for what other cities call the subway.

The absurdity of using a stainless steel tea pot to peel a ripened banana is likened to the admittance of a deranged sentinel into a children's daycare's Hairspray reproduction. I have used hair spray in my hair exactly zero times in my life thus far. I have never been a sentinel and nor have I used a stainless steel tea pot for anything other than its intended use. I do know how to make ice, however.

when robots ruin your morning toast

Today has many overlapping calendar events many of which I would have liked to have attended.

Tomorrow is the last day I am doing a 2AM to 10AM shift to replace a coworker of mine who works out of Algiers, but who has taken two weeks off. I have covered for him all of this week, next week it is the turn of someone else.

I was hoping to purchase a new suit for my company's Christmas party, but I am running out of time. I've offered my wife the Right of First Refusal to be my fashion consultant so that I get a second opinion (in addition to my own) on the purchase. We have not managed to find a time to go yet.

The party is on December 17th. I've been told that Zara will have suits that fit my 'European' sized body very well. I've never shopped there before, but I am happy to give them a try as their prices are fairly reasonable. I'm really looking forward to the party, it is going to be lots of fun.

bending backwards to move leftways

There is turbulence in the ice cream cone being consumed by the Border Collie on the first Thursday morning in Spring.

Beware of warnings that offer you no specific information; they tend to be excessively useless. Take this one, for example.

A triceratops at the peak of her menstrual cycle clings to the idea of painting an abstract devoid of appreciated patterns. Other windows into the Cretaceous Period were left slightly open to let a cool breeze out. That's lozenges for you.

tank the ferry man like a tooth brush

A silhouette brandished a soliloquy like a solid silk sapphire soul.

I failed to make a blood donation this week even though I was eligible as of Monday. I will endeavour to do this next week.

The coworker who sits to my left is trilingual, he speaks English, French and Spanish. Curiously, when he speak Spanish, his native language, he speaks loudest. I usually don't mind.

This weekend will be made up of both minutes, seconds and hours. There will be weather of some sort, probably some amount of sunshine, too. It is doubtful I'll get to have a nap this weekend, but such is life. I hope you have a pleasant weekend.

barbarism made a plenty like the silk

The Canadiens won both of their games over the weekend, so that was good.

It ended up that the horse won over the cat. Good news for Peyton Newton, bad news for Cam Manning.

Vigilance doesn't always pay off. Even the vigilant can miss something. I should know.

Our primary credit card bill generally runs from the 10th of one month to the 9th of the subsequent month. This means that tomorrow is the last day of the current transaction period. If my wife and I do not end up charging anything significant over today and tomorrow it means that our final bill for the period will come out about 1400$ under budget. This is good.
