Mesopotamia on rocks

So I drowned the ePlancul, no more, no less, no most, unless.

It isn't radiation that killed the cat's inclination to meow during the bottom half of the even hours.

I dream of a Cat that climbs a tree, smiles at me, refuses to pee.

But as a derelict, clumsy and an aberrant - there isn't anything unlike it.

This post reeks of an undulating lack of sensationalism. I should know.

life is what it is

Like what the nest said to the egg.

Unlike what the squirrel squirreled away.

Try as one might, the ripped rotten soup pattern got emptied into the lake.

Slight as one might be, the ePlancul has been stopped.

As deep a hole as one can get into, there is but the steepest ladder to be used to escape.

A temper tantrum serves no purpose, not even under the most punishing circumstances.

Regret serves no purpose either, especially if we can choose to live in the moment. Or moments.

Unfortunately it put asunder my dreams for this year, but alas, there is the Sisyphus curse to put asunder any thoughts I had of progress.

I suppose there is always kite flying I can do.

silently setting the pawn

insult - verb

to treat with insolence, indignity, or contempt

insult - noun

a gross indignity : an instance of insolent or contemptuous speech or conduct

I had a conversation recently where someone told me her ex used to be deceptive with her and insult her, regularly. I cannot recall ever having insulted anyone, in fact, I'm not even certain I would know how.

I do not understand why she or anyone would stay with someone who treats people that way, but I can never know the full story.

brak frak slack crack

I don't want you to feel unsafe.

Google Translate gives me this: Je ne veux pas que tu te sentes en danger.

So in Google I do a simple search: define: unsafe and it reports it is an adjective meaning 'not safe' or 'dangerous'.

I prefer this definition from Merriam Webster:

unsafe - adjective

a : able or likely to cause harm, damage, or loss

b: not giving protection from danger, harm, or loss

c: not protected from danger, harm, or loss

d: likely to take risks : not careful

I do not know if there is a way to say in French the unsafe that is less dangerous than dangerous. It is the c: definition, the idea of being protected from harm that I am wanting the 'unsafe' to mean. So maybe I should have said:

Je veux que tu te sentes protégé du mal.

This still doesn't convey the exact meaning I am after, but it is closer. Here is another try:

Je ne veux pas que tu sentes que tu serais sujet au mal.

It is a clunky sentence but I don't know how I could do better.

two fifths of a bucket of derision

So about the cannabis test from the previous post; the first day I had one muffin, the second day I had two and there was no noticeable effect. The 6g dose I put was not enough, considering it was divided into a dozen muffins. So I am eating the muffins more or less daily to consume them, and then will try the recipe again, increasing the dose.

That a ThaCaHaCa would elaborate provocatively reminds no one that climbing up hill when the hill surface is icy is about as easy as getting heads flipping a dime eleven times consecutively.

As mentioned previously, I wrote to my provincial member of Quebec's national assembly to complain about Quebec transport minister's announcement of dramatically underfunding transit agencies across the province. I received a response that in essence thanked me for my feedback.

There is more I could say about marsupials who like to play Connect-Four while also watching the TV game show Jeopardy.

pockets of dust, lint and events

The see-saw, the key-call, the me-mall, all in a row, a brow, a claw and a wall.

That budgetary constraint is what is optimum; that spending so much on ePlancul has forced me into debt, though it isn't terminal and I will be out from under it within a month or two, so long as I spend less during that month or two.

Now down to two, one far, one near. Clearly the far I can not see unplanned or at short notice, unfortunately the close one is claiming unavailability and not making a priority to meet me in person to establish compatibility.

The elbow, the side-show, the cryogenically embryo, all in a column, a lung that is hung.

Mixed parentheticals, much like a train ride to Naujaat.

Saguenay part three

Here are the lockers inside the station:

And here is me trying to put a Loonie into it:
So clearly these lockers have been disabled. I believe there ought to have been a key in one of the two lock slots that allows for the door to be opened to then put in the Loonie to then release the key, but all of the keys were removed. I figured out the likely reason as the day progressed; here is the interior of the station on the Via Rail side of it, including even a baggage door that I could have used had there been an employee:

So with the service desk closed, and with the café on the other side closing at 15h, there is no one to assist with these lockers should there be a problem with them and they would be inaccessible after 15h. So as a result, after having breakfast at the Auberge and packed up and given the guy there my key, I walked to the station to learn that I would have to have my backpack with me the whole day until the train was to leave at 22h50.

It turns out that adjacent to the station was Parc Jean-Allard which I had not yet explored. As it was so close I didn't mind carrying my backpack with me to check it out. The park ended up being a steep hill that had steps to gain access to the top, from which a large part of the town of Jonquiere can be seen.

From there, since I had many hours to pass, I walked to the Riviere aux Sables, there is a path that runs along the river and more or less where rue Ouellet joins the path there was a bench with a tree that put the bench in shade and would have kept it in shade until the evening. So I sat there and read my book for three hours. I could just barely make out the water from where I was sitting, as can be seen in the first photo.

While sitting on the bench, there were quite a number of people walking in either direction, pretty much all of whom I would exchange 'Bonjour' with.

At around 12h30 I left this spot and went back to the station, to the café side and ordered a drink and a poutine, although they didn't have poutine sauce so there was BBQ sauce put on it instead. Then I hung out inside the station until at around 15h30 I was kicked out as they were locking it up. It was during this time that I finished the book I was reading; I've made a note that if I was to do this again I would bring books that add up to 700+ pages as this trip, the two books I had came close to only ~450 pages.

I spent the remaining time on a bench outside the station in the shade, and then on the platform where the train would arrive.

And then at around 22h30 our train pulled in:

It was only the engine at the front, a baggage car in the middle, and a single passenger car at the end. The passenger car could likely have seated 80 passengers at capacity, but we were only six getting on in Jonquiere and at maximum 18 as more passengers got on before others got off. When there were no Via employees nearby I snuck into the baggage car and took these two photos:

I haven't any idea what all of the equipment on the left side is for, but to see how enormous this is from the inside without hardly anything in it was pretty amazing. Moments later a Via employee told me that this part of the train was for employees only and so I left immediately.

We left on time at 22h50 and I managed to sleep for perhaps an hour or maybe 90 minutes but I was simply too uncomfortable. I ended up re-reading a book I had on my mobile device and eventually watched the sky brighten. At Hervey Junction the Senneterre train was to join ours, however, it was delayed by perhaps half an hour. Where it joined us we were in CN Yards and there was a freight train ready to go. So we waited to see if it would go in front of us, but it did not end up leaving, and sixty minutes later we ended up leaving ahead of the freight train. The Via worker then let us know that now our arrival would be at 11h45; but we ended up accelerating along the way and we pulled in at 11h20. I then took public transit home and after unpacking, had a nice long nap.

Outside of summer season the trains run through the day, rather than through the night, so if I was to do this trip again, I would go outside of summer season. Here is the schedule of arrivals and departures when not on the summer revised schedule:
I did quite enjoy the experience, I built over 100 Resource mines while I was there and there was plenty of room to build more.

I did not end up seeing that ePlancul woman at all and broke the news to her that we could move to WhatsApp or I would reduce to one message per day through ePlancul. As predicted, she was not happy about this at all; but I certainly wasn't happy that I expected to meet her in person while there and this didn't happen. So I suggested to her that I would certainly be willing to go back to Saguenay by train, only I couldn't afford to pay for lodging a second time this year and would ask to stay with her. In turn I also invited her to take the train to come and visit me and I would be happy to host her in my apartment.

So overall, apart from not meeting her, I thought it was a great trip, even if my credit card didn't seem to work there. I would be happy to do it again.

Saguenay part two

Today I waited for the rain to stop and took the 9h45 #3 bus from Jonquiere terminal to the Chicoutimi terminal. Getting on the bus with me at the start were three geriatrics of which one occupied 98% of the talking space; she was an unbelievable talker who went on non-stop. As more people came on the bus, she said hello to them and they to her and she continued.

It turns out that #3 bus route doesn't simply end at the two terminals, it does a loop, so when it got to the Chicoutimi terminal not everyone disembarked. This confused me but I ended up exiting and only later came to understand that the people waiting on the bus were going to a stop on the other side of the loop the bus does.

I played my Resources game through most of the first two or three hours, looking to build mines wherever I could discover resources. Near the end of doing this I found yet another hydro electric dam, this time on the Chicoutimi river:

Along the river front on the old port of Chicoutimi there were stages and food trucks and other things in preparation for some festival that is coming imminently. Near the center is this fountain / scultpure:
Soon after I took that photo some darker clouds started to come in and I could hear thunder, it was just after noon and I was starting to wane so I walked down (as I was up a hill) to Subway to get lunch. Again I tried my credit card and it didn't work, fortunately I was able to get more cash yesterday evening. It rained very lightly and for a short while and the dark clouds had moved on by the time I had finished lunch. Having eaten also gave me some energy, so I decided to then do the Sentier du Parc Riviere Moulin. It took about half an hour of mostly uphill walking to get to the entrance I was aiming for, doing so had me pass through both the Chicoutimi CEGEP campus as well as the UQAC campus. Here is the sign at the entrance I used, the 'vous etes ici' indicates where I was:
Perhaps twenty or twenty fives minutes of walking (I was heading north) further there was a spot to get off the path to get to a lookout to see this:

Along the path at one point was this collection of large river rocks with the subsequent photo showing that they had to dynamite a portion of this trail to create it:

Further down there were more rapids of the Riviere du Moulin. Also, from where I took that photo if I turned to the right to look straight across there was this enormous rock wall.

And here is where I exited the trail, you can see the 'vous etes ici' is now at the north entrance.

To get back into the more central part of Chicoutimi was quite a walk, early along that way I saw where this Moulin river joins the Saguenay river, at a very leisurely pace compared to the flows I saw earlier. Below is a photo facing south from the bridge over it followed by the north view.

As mentioned in part one, my train home tomorrow leaves at 22h50, so I asked the guy here at the Auberge if I could leave my bag here during the day after I check out; he said that he and his family are leaving soon after I check out and so it won't be possible as no one will be home. So on my way back from Chicoutimi I went into the Via Rail station here in Jonquiere and saw that they have lockers. There aren't any instructions on how they are to be used apart from on each locker there being a spot to put in a Loonie with instructions to put a Loonie in and that instructions are on the inside of the locker. There is a café in that same building and I asked the employee there if she knows anything about the lockers and she said she didn't.

Not having used this type of locker before I am a little nervous that I could possibly get my bag into a locker, but then never get it back out again. So my plan is, having two Loonies, to do a test run with one, to pretend to put something in it, close it, pretend to have left for the afternoon on a walk, to come back and open it to get what I had pretended to put in. If that all works I would then do it for real with my bag with my second Loonie. If it does work and that same lady is there, I will explain to her how it works so she can help future travelers.

The local ePlancul woman indicated that tonight doesn't work for her either. My whole reason for contacting her was to meet her in person here so I will be breaking the news to her tomorrow near time of departure (just in case she does manage to meet with me tomorrow evening) that I won't be going ahead with her unless she switches to WhatsApp. She won't be happy about this, and neither am I, really, but I can't afford to continue on ePlancul with someone whom I can only see by taking an eleven hour train ride.

Saguenay part one

Late last year I looked into what kinds of vacations could I take that do not involve owning a car, so that limits me to airplane, bus or train. Of course for train our only option here is Via Rail, and that is when I discovered that there is a train that goes two or three times a week back and forth between Saguenay and my city.

I booked this week off work and booked my train tickets and lodging months ago. Originally my trip there was supposed to leave at 7h30 and arrive at 18h52 and my return trip on Thursday was leaving Saguenay at 8h58 and returning at 19h46.

Due to the rails being affected by summer heat, I received a notice of a schedule change for both train rides from Via Rail. Now my trip there was to be 15h15 -> 2h13 next morning and my trip home will be 22h50 -> 9h38 the next morning. While arriving after 2am is not great, departing on Thursday at 22h50 means I get a whole extra day there.

My apartment was getting warm and so I left two buses earlier than I needed to to get to Central Station which is air conditioned. I arrived there without a problem, an hour before my 15h15 departure, which then became a 15h30 departure, and the time kept getting bumped up piecemeal like that until:

Right at the top you can see boarding 17h with departure at 17h05, however, the time shows 17h03 and we still hadn't begun boarding.

We were only about 20 passengers in our 601 railcar and only a handful in the 603. This made it so that boarding was very quick and we ended up truly departing at 17h09.

603 was going to Senneterre while 601 was going to Jonquiere, so the two trains are joined together and share the first eight stations, and then 603 separates to head west while 601 continues north. Well, we got to a certain spot where the engine for 603 encountered some kind of problem, so in order to separate the two trains we had to go to the nearest double-track which was behind us by about 20 minutes. So somewhere near Hervey we went backwards for 20 minutes and then finally we passed the 603 train and were on our way again.

I disembarked the train at 4h41 this morning and had no trouble walking to the Auberge le St-Georges where I am staying. Once I found out that my arrival would be significantly delayed I emailed them, and they accommodated this delay by putting the keys in a mailbox out the front door that I was able to get to let myself into the building and into my room.

The Auberge is adjacent to the Riviere aux Sables and on it within the Jonquiere area are two hydro power facilities.

At the second one, which was higher up the river further away from the Saguenay river they had these machines at the top that would, I suppose, automatically raise or lower the baffle in order to control the level of the water behind the dam. I could hear one of them in motion as I was passing, but I was unable to see any difference in the flow rate below.

I did considerable walking around Jonquiere today spending four hours walking without hardly ever stopping. I walked through the campus of CEGEP de Jonquiere, on the multi-purpose path along the Riviere aux Sables, and a fair distance down Rue St-Pierre and Blvd Harvey.

On the train ride here I bought a couple of snacks and my credit card didn't work to pay for them, though, it is possible it failed because of our train being out in the wilderness. At the Auberge this morning my credit card failed but he had an alternative way of keying in the number that allowed it to charge successfully. At A&W for lunch today my credit card failed. Fortunately I brought cash with me as a back up, which worked for the train and A&W, but it also means the amount of cash that I brought is now greatly diminished. Presuming my CC won't work at all this trip I will get more cash. Fortunately my plan for tomorrow already was to take the #3 bus to Chicoutimi and there is my brand of bank there (there is none here in Jonquiere).

I have been messaging the ePlancul woman who lives here that I am hoping to meet, and she said she is having a bad day at work and doesn't want a first date with me to be on such a day. Hopefully she changes her mind or that it does work out for tomorrow.

Due to my poor sleep on the train and my late arrival this morning I am going to have a nap and then maybe go for another shorter walk after the sun sets.

Yes, it isn't

Happy Canada Day for those of you who are aware that today is the day for it.

I have been spending way too much time during down time during my work days planning what I would do if I won one tenth or one twentieth of the Loto Max jackpot. I am in a pool at work that plays every draw, and once the current prize reached 40M (June 30) I decided to put a little extra in by buying one share of a public group of 10 shares, in two separate groups. Now it is 50M (July 4) so I bought one share of a group of 10 and one share of a group of 20. From that previous draw I won 2$ and three free plays for this next one.

Of course the odds are severely against me, however, if I was to win the one tenth or one twentieth I've created an extremely detailed spreadsheet of how that would play out. At high level, give some to my ex-wife and to my children when each child reaches the age of 21, 26 and 31. Buy a condo in L'Avenue building (1050 Drummond) and move into it as it is close to the train station that takes me back to the West Island. I have looked at unit 3401 which is currently available and I would measure and hopefully the living room part of it is big enough to have room for a ping pong table. If that would work I wouldn't use it is a living room, but as a table tennis room and invite other residents inside the tower to come and play.

I would increase donations to specific charities, quit my job, exercise and volunteer more and travel. The spreadsheet is very large as I keep thinking of ways to refine it or add more detail. Then I read it again from top to bottom to see if there is anything else I haven't yet considered.

In other news I repeatedly let the ePlancul women know that I would meet them in June or drop them; then it occurred to me that I could have a window open into July if I gave them my mobile number and we move over to WhatsApp to continue chatting before meeting. They all cited to meet me first before sharing their number.

In the message I shared my mobile number with them I also gave them a warning that after June I wouldn't contact them apart from replying to a proposed date and a July availability calendar to show when I would be free to meet. Last night I sent a final message to them fulfilling this promise, that I would no longer respond to them unless they provided a date.

All four of them pushed back. There are two ideas I have about this, one is that 'shit or get off the pot' expression to get this going or to not get it going, and the other is the expense of sending messages through ePlancul that I simply cannot afford to do too much more of.

There is a way through the site that when you check the profile of the person, they receive a notification that their profile has been checked, and by whom. In my last message to them I indicated that I would check their profile at any moment that I am thinking about them; so they will know I am still interested by virtue of this, but I will not reply until a date is provided. Hopefully out of the four at least one does come through with a date in the coming days, but if that doesn't happen, well, it was fun while it lasted.

done won fun

Trump is being arraigned in Florida today for roughly three dozen counts of mishandling classified documents and obstructing the retrieval of said documents from his Florida resort home.

It is a Federal Court that is managing this, though, with a seemingly Trump favouring Judge. It has been said that he could run for and even be elected as President from prison and that if he was elected, he'd have to be extracted from prison to run the country. I am guessing he would go back into prison after his presidential term is over.

Of course I am hoping that if he is in prison, that will allow his republican opponents more media attention to hopefully raise their likelihood of winning that nomination.

Living in Canada this all has very little to do with me, of course.

Here in Canada a man named David Johnston stepped down as special rapporteur; he had planned on holding a Public Hearing into the matters of Foreign interference in elections in Canada. Opposition leaders were against him, as he had ties to the Trudeau family, and what he wanted (a Public Hearing), and instead were pushing for a Public Inquiry. Now it is up in the air as to what happens next.

Provincially, the forest fire situation is beginning to get better as more rain (though not enough) is falling in the areas where the fires are, among other areas. There are also some contentious laws that have either just become law or are close to becoming law. There is a strengthening of the French Languages act both Federally and Provincially that puts in question the rights of an English minority in Quebec. And there is a new Landlord / Tenant law coming in that has both groups dissatisfied with what is planned. Landlords having to appear at the tribunal if the tenant doesn't agree to an eviction, and tenants no longer able to sublease which had been used previously to keep a low rent low by not following a proper change of tenant path.

Locally, summer is approaching with the F1 race happening this weekend, with the Jazz Festival around the corner, and then the National Bank Open in August. This year the men play in Toronto and the women play here. There is a homeless group of about 50 people that have been living underneath the Ville-Marie Expressway for years and they have become a community. However, the expressway itself is in need of repairs and Transport Quebec has been pushing to have these people move or be relocated for months. In court motions this has been delayed numerous times, however, it appears that June 15th is the last day they are to be there.

Personally I came across an ad on my mobile device for ePlancul about a month ago, a matching site for people who want more than friendship. It was free to join, however, it costs tokens to send messages, and tokens cost money. I was surprised that after having created my profile (which was free to do) I immediately had some women approach me through the site. Not knowing how any one of them would work out, there are now four that I have chatted with regularly, with a fifth in Saguenay that I started chatting with since I am going there on vacation in July. The cost of the tokens has been significant, so I have given the four local ones a deadline (the bomb I dropped recently) to actually meet in person within this month. I said that if that meeting doesn't happen, I will be compelled to abandon them. I can't keep paying for tokens, especially if we could be chatting through SMS for free. So far none have picked a date/time, but there are still 17 days left in the month.

lip tip dip rip flip sip whip

The fourth quarter out of five had its bomb dropped this morning, so now the four local quarters of the five quarters have had their bombs dropped with only one quarter having pushed back, citing 'ultimatum' as the problem. I had no choice.

Went to my parents house today, after brunch at a resto, assisted my dad in raking the multiple branches in the backyard to the outer edges so that he could then pass the lawn mower without having so many branches to deal with. It is the first time in years I have encountered as many mosquitoes as I had. The backyard had many of them. I got bit perhaps four or five times. Fortunately I hardly react - I can feel the mosquito as it bites me, sometimes I leave it, sometimes I smack it and sometimes I flick it. The bite mark on my skin is visible for an hour or two, mostly faded three to four hours later and there is no evidence of a bite subsequently. It helps that the bite does not itch and nor do I scratch it.

bap lap sap tap rap gap

The bomb has been dropped to three of the five quarters, only one quarter left that I'll do later. No response yet, but with 21 days it ought to not be taken too harshly.

Suddenly I imagined my work's Lotto Max group winning the max jackpot which would give me 7M$ all at once. After planning to share with my ex and my kids it still leaves a lot for me to be able to safely cease working altogether while also having room, for example, to buy a condo in the city and live there for the next ten to fifteen years. Even doing this would allow for travel to things like attending the Australian Open (tennis) or taking a Transatlantic cruise that include that specific ship's pre-crossing route and post crossing route.

I would be happy to be able to attend CTTE again and I wouldn't need to worry about paying the cost for a single to go; though I may not be a single passenger if any of those quarters up there work out.

There are numerous condo options in the western part of the city, looking mostly in the vicinity of Drummond and Rene-Levesque. Many of them have included pool and gym, so that would be nice. I also checked out what the nearest church is that I would go to, and it ends up being a cathedral.

I need to just as suddenly push all of this aside, however, as the chances to win are infinitesimal.

set the fuse, count the llamas

It isn't so much of a bomb I have composed but a bomb with a timer that will have it explode at the termination of this month.

I will not succumb to reverse pressure; if nought results, such is the way.

It will have been fun to have imagined a future; or, the pressure of the timer will result in real fun as compared to the text based fun that it has been until now. If I launch the bomb today or tomorrow, the countdown will begin with 22 or 21 days to go.

when two plus two is

There isn't any pressure that if applied with enough force, can make a petunia dance a jig.

When four quarters local and a fifth quarter distant all strike in the multi-faceted way that a strike can be interpreted, it makes decision making rather difficult.

That a kite flying competition to whomever raises their kite first could be the decision maker is a hard pill to swallow, it being a bird and all.

Who is to say a decision needs to be made? Well, as with all things, time will tell.

triple the elaborate, but do not under

Blasting a furnace with supreme effort, raising the heat, raising the pressure to decide.

How many eggs, how many baskets, pecuniary challenge, especially in the difficult determination of value.

My two top choices thus far are H and T and with both I've soft-attempted to save a dime to no effect. Unknown where H lives, and T provided a name that I can't place, but either way it doesn't sound like either of them live very close to me.

Second choices are J and K of which only K provided location and is closest of all mentioned. Newly arrived today is C who has initiated with me and whom I have just responded to say I am interested.

There is no baked bread involved, no ice cream sandwiches, no petulance wrapped up in a jealousy factory. The turbulence that the smote wrote rides can only be reduced to ash. And what if in all of these, even if one by one my language falters, they all drop off. Then all this cash is down the drain.

I am debating, this personal finance sheet in my face, the top spend for lowest message cost. I will continue to debate.

whoa, hold your horses

By pure chance on my mobile device I hit an ad for eplancul.com and without really having any idea about it, created my free account. It is described as a social network for people who are looking to have fun and searching for something other than friendship. I had not read this description when I joined.

It is free to create a very simple profile and the moment I did so I received a handful of messages from different women, some of whom would simply write 'surprise! it's me' as the ice breaker message. These women ranged in age from as young as 28 to as old as 52. I was very surprised to hear from women in the 28-38 age range. They also ranged from a variety of places, as far as Saguenay, Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivieres and as close as Montreal.

When I went to reply, it turns out that messages cost 10 credits, and later I learned that ice breaking messages cost 2 credits. So I paid the lowest amount they had, 49$ for 200 credits, making it cost 2.45$ per message for 20 messages. They have higher payment amounts for more credits, like 89$ for 2.23$ per message for 40 messages, 199$ for 1.99$ per for 100 and 399$ for 1.77$ per for 225 messages.

I consumed all of my credits in messaging these women last night and as I approached the end I would let them know that I am running out and likely won't buy any more that night. One of the women took exception to this saying I was rude for even having participated in conversation with her if I wasn't going to continue.

There is a 'Rendez Vous Garanti' that when you read the fine print says you need to be active pretty much daily for six months, making x number of ice breaker messages and that if by the end of six months you haven't had a 'rendez vous' you'd be refunded all of the money you spent. I do not see myself being in a position to test this out due to the inordinate cost it would take to be so active over six months.

After I saw some of the photos that were under the main profile picture and later I read that it is social network for something other than friendship the description made more sense. Many of the women listed exhibitionism as a quality they have and clearly evidenced by their partially or fully naked photos.

The site and all of the women I interacted with use French language and so I used a translate software to make certain my written french was okay. This makes me think that if I was to continue, which I have not yet decided, I would update my profile description to mention that I can read and listen to the French language without any problem, and I can speak it fairly well, but that I can express myself in more depth and with much higher vocabulary in English.

If eventually a rendez-vous did happen, I suppose I would need to be prepared to receive the woman at my apartment, something that in its current state is not a great idea. It isn't something that half a day, two or three times couldn't help, and maybe I should do this irrespective of any future rendez-vous.

One of the profile option check boxes is to indicate if you are interested in finding a travel companion, this is one thing I am interested in and would be a reason to continue. The cost and for other reasons it may be something I will cease immediately. I will need to think about it some more.

Both Toronto and Edmonton won last night in the NHL playoffs, so watching both games gave me the time during commercial and intermission breaks to do all of that messaging.
