I remember being on one of those. I almost hurled.
There's a lift like this in Queenstown, New Zealand. 30+ years ago a carriage fell clear off & a couple of tourists died.
Omg... I remember going up Grouse mountain in one of those... amazing. :) In Italy, we went up Vesuvius in one of those, except there was no outer shell - more like a ski lift than anything else, about 100 feet off the ground. I love heights.
