blank stare
When you catch someone with a blank stare where they are looking off into space and it appears they are focusing on nothing, do you wonder if their mind is fully blank or if they are so profoundly deep into the thinking of something that it is deeper than their facial expressions can relate?
I, for one, acknowledge that if ever anyone catches me in that state, it is almost always the former.

i do this in the shower. what is it about the water running over me and the steady staccato of the streams hitting the wall that enrapture me trance like and allow my mind to roam so free?
Hm.. I agree with ghost. It's during personal maintenance that my mind is most often allowed to roam free. Not too often outside of those times though.
