indeed

what is so super about a supermarket?

I mean really, they are just there to sell basic goods like food and very common possession staples like scotch tape, kleenex and other brand names that have become the common names of articles.

The way they are organized, to make you buy as absolutely much as possible, including things you really don't need, is a sham against society. The general store of old was so much better where all they carried was all that you would really need, with a few small gimicky things to add flair.

I wonder how much of this would be phrased differently (in terms of nomenclature), in places like Australia (hi Deb) or XXXXXXX, XX (OE). I don't know that much is different in BC or TO, since both are also part of Canada.

About the same I think. We have scotch tape and kleenex here to. The supermarkets here probably look just the same as the ones in Canada. We have fruit/veges one end, cold goods the other end and everything else is in the middle.
