Snow!

well, okay, so it hasn't snowed yet here.

Where does the sky begin?

Some people look up to see the sky, so presumably the sky starts above us, but doesn't it really start right at the surface? Well, I looked it up:

sky –noun
1. the region of the clouds or the upper air; the upper atmosphere of the earth: airplanes in the sky; cloudy skies.

So I stand corrected, the sky is the upper atmosphere.
So then what do we call the part of the atmosphere that begins at the surface? Google satisfies as always - troposphere.

So how come no one ever says, "hey, take a look at how clear the troposphere is!", or, "look down at the troposphere if you don't want to look up at the sky".

Another question - if you are indoors are you contained within the troposphere, or are you separate from it?

hmm...
