tread lightly

I try not to keep any coins in my pockets, and usually my keys are such that they do not make noise while I am walking. I also wear shoes that make hardly any sound with each step and wear clothes that do not make any noise with the swishing and swaying of perambulation.

I am of the understanding that the amount of noise generated by any form of motion is wasted energy. My intention is to not uselessly lose energy while moving.

and in doing so you get one step closer to being a ninja.

I like to make as little noise as possible when I walk also, but I'm more Sumo than Ninja.

it's so funny that you mention ninja... I aspire to be a ninja in all ways except the taking-of-life.

Of course, ninja's prime purpose was to be taking-of-life, but it was their skill set of fitness, cunning and agility/dexterity that I strive for.
