San Francisco and Duluth

It is less clear to me than it is to someone for whom it is more clear that mysteries that have a resolution or solution are widely available to those sleuth-like people who are good at solving mysteries. Sometimes a mystery has no resolution or solution, in fact, they are even barely known in that only a fraction of the details of the mystery are easily available, a smaller fraction are easily obtainable while the remainder remains completely hidden from view. In some cases there is a diabolical element to the mystery, in other cases there are feline or canine participants and in still other cases there is a definite protagonist.
