let me pencil you in

Someone who is able to tell the time is someone who usually has a timepiece of some sort. For example, a digital or analog watch, a cell phone that shows the time or has available a nearby wall clock.

Between the years 1985 and 1989 I wore a watch, and then in the last couple of months I started wearing one again.

Some people claim that being aware of the time at all times helps to keep them on time, or at the very least, aware of being on time or not being on time. I wear a watch because my son has started all sorts of activities, at the moment this includes baseball and soccer. Two to four times a week he has games or practices in these two sports at various times ranging from 18:00, 18:30 or 19:00. This means there is a tight window for me to leave work, retrieve him, have him put on his uniform, arrange something for both of us to eat and then get him to the field on time.

So far since I have restarted wearing a watch I have not found a reason to not wear it. Should this ever change I will be sure to let you know.

What time is it, Phil?

It's PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME.

(an oldie, but a goodie.)

I haven't worn a watch for years, the time always seems to go slower when I wear one.
