Box jumps into the sleeping giant
So, we've received about 25cm's of snow. The snow removal service we hired for the first time this year has done an OK job, but not a stellar one. I guess I need to lower my expectations as it isn't me doing it, but I should be pleased as I am not doing it. By 'it' I am referring to shoveling the driveway.
In other news G-bot has a hockey practice at 17:30 today, and of course, packing his hockey equipment this morning I forgot his stick. Usually when we leave together I ask him to carry his stick while I carry his hockey bag, well, he took the school bus to school today (which came, though was late) and so he wasn't there for me to remember to ask him to bring his stick.
Fortunately we live only about five minutes from the arena, so I'll go back home to get it before the practice.
The last news item is that yes, the winter tires are now on the Elantra, and this morning as my wife was driving to work she was advised by a taxi that one of the tires was flat. Indeed it was, she drove to a nearby garage to inflate it so that she could complete the trip to work. Tonight she will inflate it again before heading home and then tomorrow I will see about getting it repaired.
Car ownership is not all it is hyped to be, sometimes.
Whoa, two 'real' posts in a row. Who knew I could be so ground based?

Car problems are about the only thing that throw me into a panic.
Quite the load of snow you got there.
A real post, with a surreal title... ;) Car's should be abolished, but then... how would we get places reliably? The bus system pretty much sucks... at least on the West Island.
I have considered how I would cope without a car. OK I guess, shops are just 15 minutes walk from where I live. But then what if there is no transport to deliver goods to the shops? I have a vegie patch full of lettuce and herbs. That wouldn't feed me for more than a day. So basically I would not be alright.
What about you?
