swimming like a golf ball
There are two potential no-car situations, one is where my family does without one, the other is if cars were abolished.
If it is the former, G-bot would have to stop hockey as we have to go to too many arenas all over the place and with his bulky equipment bag it would be simply too difficult.
If it is the latter, the way hockey is organized may be changed to accommodate the fact that people don't have cars, so maybe 90% of G-bot's hockey would be at the local arena which is within walking distance. So he could continue to play.
For all other things, there is a strip-mall within 10 minutes walking distance that has available more or less anything a person would need.
The school the kids go to is walking distance, as is my work, so in either of the two scenarios we'd be fine.
