It is raining presently.

It was not raining earlier.

Later on it will no longer be raining.

The rain is coming down quite heavily.

We have a gutter problem on one side of our house where the gutter overflows when it rains heavily causing the rain to fall down against the house. There happens to be a door to the backyard at this exact spot so a small amount of the water actually gets through the bottom of the door frame and leaks into the house. Fortunately in the specific spot it is linoleum (impermeable) and the water doesn't get very far before we can sop it up.

It requires a different kind of garden to withstand this kind of rain on a regular basis. Climate change is having the effect that the rain is coming down in harsher bursts. This is not terribly beneficial and is why I would spend 103 million dollars doing this.
