So the backsplash is now in, the photos below do not have the grout in yet, but since these photos were taken the grout has been applied. There will be one more photo spread once the electrical is all complete and then the kitchen renovation is done.

There is a board on the counter.


The board on the counter is because that board came in long after the others that go up against the wall and the carpenter forgot to leave room for the backsplash tiles to go behind it, so we had to take it out. In the photo below you can also see that we lucked out that three runs of the tiles fit perfectly between the counter and the window, it makes that part of it look really sharp.

We had a simple mosaic included in the backsplash above the cooktop.

It was a challenge for the worker to get the tiles up the wall in the narrow passage. If you click to get the larger image of this one, you can see how the individual tiles were cut to match up with the molding. It was quite the job.
