Our first full day in Paris...
The Arche de Triomphe, we climbed to the top, 193 steps (counted on the way down). Most of the photos you see of it are face on, since that is the more impressive view. When on the top, however, it is much more of a square shape. This gives an even grandeur indication of the size of this.
At the roundabout intersections the roads are often extremely wide and they have no lines painted on them. This one had few cars, but on our bus tour we were in some roundabouts that had cars in them all haphazardly.
This is the view north from where the Eiffel tower is. The bus audio tour told us what it was called, but I don't remember.
ummm.. this is the, ummm...
This pillar was on a big square that had three others like it. All of them, including all of the other monuments and buildings in the area were built for the World's fair in 1900.
Here is a bigger view of the square that contains the pillar.
They park really close in this city - this photo is from a window in our apartment.

Great photos Phil. Do they have a lot of those smart cars in Paris? They seemed to be the car of choice in Rome.
The beds in your apartment did not look especially comfortable.
Yes, lots of smart cars and other cars that are equally small.
The beds aren't exactly perfect, but we are filling our days with so much that we get home exhausted and so the beds do just fine.
I am surrounded by beautiful women so I really don't care about anything else.
Oh, and BTW, that last line about beautiful women was typed by one of the beautiful women in our group.
Lol. If you are going to spend time with beautiful women where better than Paris?
Enjoying the slideshow so far. Can't help by smile about the photo captions. Gotta love a genuine perspective.
