when push comes to swamp

Being a home owner has its good points and bad points.

My house has a water problem - the pipes leading to it from the city have tree roots going through them. Additionally, the hot water heating tank in our basement has not been properly maintained; it should have been bottom drained annually; this was never done.

I have not been living in the house for two years and three months now, so I am no longer involved in having to deal with this. However, I am still part owner of the house, so I need to participate in things like this.
