hwy 138

Last weekend we were out and about and happened to drive on route 138 near Howick and out of curiosity I followed (on GooMaps) how far 138 goes in both directions. Going south it doesn't go very far as it hits the US border in short order.

Going north, on the other hand, the road goes spectacularly far.

It goes past Sept-Iles and then you can take a ferry and then the road continues to Tête-à-la-Baleine, Quebec. Goople says it would take 31 hours to drive/ferry the distance covering 1623 kilometers. If I was to walk about 25kKMs per day it would take almost 65 days. Mind you, not quite all of the distance is walking - the ferry rides would involve very little walking.

You could swim instead of taking a ferry.
